• September 12: Put on your running shoes and bring your furry friends for a fun run in support of CANSA and the SPCA. After the run, participants can enjoy a variety of stalls and live entertainment. The starting point is at Nelspruit Rugby Club. Registration starts at 07:00 and the fun run at 08:00. • September 12-13: The Lowveld Clivia Club proudly presents the Spring Show to celebrate the beauty and diversity of clivias. Featuring stunning displays, plants and seeds for sale, and expert advice, this is an event not to be missed. Saturday kicks off at 08:00 until 16:00 and Sunday runs from 08:30 to 12:00. • 17 Oktober: Hoërskool Bergvlam se klas van 2001 se 25 jaar-reünie is om die draai! Kom deel in die nostalgie saam met jou medeleerlinge. Die geleentheid vind plaas by Hoërskool Bergvlam om 14:30 vir 15:00. Gaste moet asseblief sorg vir hul eie drinkgoed, vleis en bykosse. Braaivure en eetgerei sal voorsien word. • The Casterbridge Market is open on the first Sunday of every month from 09:00 to 13:00 at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre. This pet-friendly market offers a variety of food, vintage items and arts and crafts.

• The Creative Hub Market has moved to Oewersig Community Hall and now takes place on the last Sunday of every month. The market is open from 09:00 to 13:00, and everyone is welcome.

• 5 September: Die Nelspruit Vleisfees is om die draai! Met boerekos, speletjies, varsprodukte en nog baie meer, is dit nie iets om nie mis te loop nie. Die fees vind by Ehmkestraat 9 plaas van 08:30 tot 14:00. Kaartfasiliteite is beskikbaar.

• September 18: One of Mbombela’s most stylish and much-loved fundraising events is back. CANSA’s Night of a Thousand Stars returns to Sonpark Boulevard on Friday, 18 September 2026, inviting the Lowveld to enjoy an unforgettable evening of fine food, live entertainment and community spirit, all in support of a worthy cause. This year’s theme is “Let’s Twist Again” and attendees are encouraged to dress according to the colourful fashion of the ’60s and ’70s. Tables seat either 10 or 20 guests, making the event ideal for team building, networking or celebrating together. Tickets are R600 per person, with R300 from every ticket going directly to CANSA Lowveld. • September 4-5: Have you ever been through a divorce? Well, the comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout has! With his new show, Hey Hey Divorcé, he will be sharing his experience for the first time in Mbombela at the Capital Mbombela. Tickets start at R250 and can be bought on Quicket. • 5 September: Trek aan jou stewels en bring jou hoed vir ’n opwindende aand van Countrymusiek! Solidariteit Helpende Hand bied Country-aand aan. Besoekers kan uitsien na ’n vertoning deur Marlene van der Walt, Barbara Ray, Clive Bruce, Tommy Dell en Nadine Burness. Hekke maak 15:00 oop en die vertoning duur tot 21:00 en vind by Bosjol Nelspruit plaas. Kostes beloop R180 per persoon. • September 5: It’s time to sip, swirl and celebrate at the Unwined Local Food & Wine Show for an afternoon of flavour and fine wine at Mbombela Golf Club. The event starts at 12:00 and will continue until 17:30. Tickets are R250 and can be bought on the Unwined website. Note that no persons under 18 are allowed.

• September 26: Juan Boucher will be performing at Mustangs on their Buffelsfontein Brandewyn Arena for a family show. Tickets are R180 per person. Children 12 years and under can attend for free. For table bookings, contact 076 053 9860. Gates open at 17:00.

• October 31: Big beers, big feast, big fun. Mustangs October Beer Fest is coming! The festival starts at 12:00 and features live entertainment from local and traditional German artists.
