Movies and so much more @ Emnotweni Casino
It was Friday night and the perfect time for management to showcase what Emnotweni Casino has been up to for the past 15 to 18 months. Guests attended a function as special guests of Mr Ig Olivier, general manager of Emnotweni Casino, and his management team, where they enjoyed a delicious dinner, followed by a movie of their choice. Afterwards, guests were treated to a nightcap at the Glass Bar.

It’s been a bit of a dustbowl with extensive renovations happening between Emnotweni Arena, the smoking casino and the newly refurbished non-smoking casino. At the same time, the old smoking section next to the Emnotweni Arena has been converted into a state-of-the-art bar cum restaurant, called the Glass Bar. This is an innovative concept in entertainment and relaxed fine-dining where guests can enjoy platters of food and exotic cocktails in the gracious surrounds of this newly-created extension to the Emnotweni Arena.
The movie complex in Riverside Mall was previously managed by Nu Metro but this facility has been taken over by Emnotweni Casino and will now be called Movies @ Emnotweni. “This presents us with the perfect opportunity to widen our footprint; we’re in the entertainment business and the business of ‘making memories’ so it made sense to us to take over the movie complex,” explains Ig Oliver. “We can now offer more in the way of rewards to our VIP card holders and it’s the perfect extension to our service.”
