Springbok fans paint the town green
"A win is a win" cried jubilant Springbok fans on Saturday night as they converged on the Mombela pubs to celebrate their lucky win. The Welsh supporters didn't share the sentiment and looked very unhappy as they watched replays of the controversial penalty try that saw the Springboks grab victory from the Welsh team with only minutes to spare.

The Upper Deck Sports Bar at Sonpark Boulevard and the Jock and Java were packed to capacity on Saturday after the match with jubilant Springbok fans who celebrated their lucky win late into the night. The Springboks appeared to put in a fairly lacklustre performance in the beginning and left it quite late to pull out the stops to clinch a victory against the Welsh team. But a “win is a win” and the controversial penalty try that saw the Boks lift the winning trophy did nothing to dampen spirits.
The Welsh team were hungry for their first ever victory against South Africa and dominated from the first minute. There were many grumpy Welshman licking their wounds while quietly nursing their beers, all bemoaning the fact they were robbed of a win.
