Nozzle modelling agency hosts a fashion-filled event for charity

MBOMBELA – High-end vintage fashion was combined with the feel-good factor of giving when Nozzle Modelling Agency hosted a fashion show in aid of disabled children in the Valencia Community Hall on Saturday. Nozy Khoza, the owner and director of Nozzle Modelling, is a model herself and started to coach those aspiring to be one in November 2014.
Nozy started her career in Mbombela in 2010 and registered with an agent in Johannesburg in 2012. Since then, she has been based in Mbombela, but travels to Johannesburg when her career requires her to. Nozy has appeared in advertisements for Vodacom, Total and Red Bull. According to her, hosting a fashion show has always been on her to-do list. However, it was a charity cause that motivated her to finally organise one. “There are two disabled children in my church, Evangelistic Revival Ministries (ERM). They are in dire need of financial assistance and I discussed this with some of the members of the congregation. A few sponsors chipped in and, before we knew it, we had a whole fashion show organised! We then decided that the proceeds of the ticket sales would benefit these two children, Owethu Mngwenya (5) and Noxolo Magagula (18).”
Apart from collecting money for a charitable cause, Nozy was also very excited as she could provide her modelling students with a platform. “These girls need this exposure to show the world what they’ve got. I’m glad to be able to provide them with a chance to do some modelling in public.” This has been her first fashion show and she dreams of a big and bright future for her and her students. “Saturday’s show was only the first chapter. We are going to grow and do many wonderful things. This is only the beginning. The most important thing when growing and prospering, is to give back to your community. That is what I want my students to remember.”
