Matrix commenced trading in June 2000 with the first branch located in Alberton. The owners realised that there was a need for reliable computer shops. The next year four branches in Kensington, Benoni, Richards Bay and Margate, were established and from there business started booming.
In 2004 franchise opportunities were introduced and up until January 2008 a total of 90 branches nationwide were established. and the number is still growing annually as the demand for computer store increases.
Matrix Warehouse is currently the largest privately owned group in South Africa specialising in computer services ranging from hardware, software, networking, repairs, upgrades to new computers, and complete IT solutions for home and business purposes.
