Get into shape for Spring

Hencoe Beukes, local Mr SA finalist, shares his diet and exercising tips with readers. He also requests that the community joins his Pulse Lifestyle challenge

BURGERSFORT – The winter is over and it’s time to get back in shape for the upcoming holidays when you want to show off that toned body on a beach or next to the pool.

Hencoe Beukes, local Mr SA finalist, shares his diet and exercising tips with readers. He also requests that the community joins his Pulse Lifestyle challenge.

Hencoe believes that a healthy body determines a healthy lifestyle. “Try to exercise daily. I recommend starting by exercising a half hour every day. Join a local gym and find an environment that you feel comfortable in. Set up a schedule and plan you can stick to. Look at the foods you eat regularly and figure out whether they are healthy or not.

“Don’t get fooled by the deceptively healthy snacks pretending to be good for you. Replace unhealthy foods with healthier choices and snacks that are good for you. Don’t focus on cutting calories out of your daily intake, but start to focus on putting good things into your body. Quit drinking soda, coffee with sweetener and energy drinks. Make water your go-to choice of beverage. Do something fun and call it a workout. Don’t set your expectations too high, you are not miraculously going to get those abs or better muscle definition in a few days or even weeks. You need to work for it and the most important thing is to keep positive.”

For his third Mr SA challenge, Hencoe needs 24 signatures for the Pulse Lifestyle package which he is promoting. For more information regarding the package, contact him at bhencoe@gmail.com. He also asks that the community helps him reach his dream of becoming the next Mr SA by sending MRSA002 to 47439. Every SMS counts as a vote.
