Get ready for the biggest sporting event in town!
This year's interhigh will take place on Saturday February 21, where seven schools will fight it out on the sport fields of Hoërskool Nelspruit. It promises to be one for the books!
MBOMBELA – The countdown to the most-anticipated sporting event of the year has started!
This year’s interhigh will take place on Saturday February 21, when seven schools will fight it out on the sport fields of Hoërskool Nelspruit. The event is always full of energy, high spirits, and cheerleaders chanting, “We’ve got the spirit, yes we do!” to a pavillion of thousands of learners, who from a distance look like a kaleidoscope of colour. You really don’t want to miss out on the action!
The participating schools are Penryn College, Hoërskool Nelspruit, Bergvlam, Rob Ferreira, Barberton High, Lydenburg Secondary School and Lowveld High.

Past experiences have proved the success of this event, where an impressive number of passionate supporters comprising family, friends and school officials, gather to cheer on their respective teams.
In preparation for the pending day, Lowvelder and Vodacom have come together to present two exciting competitions for the learners.

The second part of the competition will take place on the day of the event, where Lowvelder will record all the participating schools’ cheerleading arrivals. Throughout the day, video footage will be uploaded to the Facebook page, The Low-down powered by Lowvelder, and the school whose video has the most likes by Monday, March 2, 08:00 will be the victors!
So who gets to walk away with the prizes, you ask? Each of the eight cheerleaders will receive a Vodacom Smart 3G Tablet!
In addition, one lucky Facebook user who liked the winning video, will also recieve a Vodacom Smart 3G Tablet worth R999!
