Town wins vote for motorcycling trials

"Trials' motorcycling is a slow-speed, spectator-friendly event with a very low impact on the environment," said organiser, Evert van Engelenhoven.

BARBERTON – Rounds five and six of the National  Trials Motorcycling Championship will be held in Barberton for the second time on September 21 and 22.

Last year everybody was astonished by the presentation of the event and the many spectators. “Trials’ motorcycling is a slow-speed, spectator-friendly event with a very low impact on the environment,” said organiser, Evert van Engelenhoven.

Initially, it would have been held in Cape Town, but Barberton won the vote and the town will soon welcome some of the world’s best riders. Indications are that the race will be even bigger and better this time around.

Once again it will be a day for the whole family with food stalls, a beer tent and lots of entertainment. Entrance is free so you have no excuse not to show your support. For more information, visit the website or contact Evert van Engelenhoven on 083-464-5464.
