Surf was up, day and night, at Mafunyane

The Day Night Festival at Mafunyane Water Park was a great success.

NELSPRUIT – Surf’s up – literally and we are not even near a beach! “Today’s Day and Night Festival is part of our programme to create awareness with Nelspruiters and get them to come and explore and enjoy the wonderful Riverside waterpark facility,” says Perry Winkel.

He is the park’s operations manager. “We try and create a safe and fun environment where families and corporates alike can enjoy themselves.” They have contracted a specialist’s events company – Four 13, to facilitate all events at the venue and have a strict policy of “no drink and slide” to synchronise with all activities.

Readers can look forward to the Lowveld Olympics which will introduce the Blindfold Kamakazi and yes, Humpty Dumpty! It sounds really intriguing?

School groups are only allowed during the week and this requires pre-bookings and, says Winkel, visitors are most welcome to pack a cooler for a bring and braai at the venue. Launches, office and kiddies parties – you name it – the possibilities are endless.

MPowerFm with Q on the mike presented various competitions and Telkom were in attendance last Saturday.

Most evident though was the fact that the kids had plenty to entertain themselves with – and they did!
