The 2026 Jock of the Bushveld Golf Tournament, sponsored by Subaru South Africa, continues in festive style at Mbombela Golf Club.

Paul Wood claimed his Jock trophy by winning the Halewood Men’s Individual Stableford on 39 points on Tuesday, May 5.

Jannie Liebenberg was second on 38, and Johan van den Heever third on 37.

The Halewood Ladies Betterball Stableford victory was won by Elna Rautenbach and Adele Holtzhauzen on 48 points.

Marlize Dos Santos and Carmen Vos were second on 43, and Eva Strydom and Helen Wolfaard third on 42.

The action continues today with the playing of the Coca-Cola / Windhoek Nomads Medal.

Today, tomorrow and on Saturday, there will be live entertainment every evening at Mbombela Golf Club. The Jock is not just for local and visiting golfers, it is a Lowveld institution and all who want to share in the spirit of Jock are welcome to attend.

This year’s Jock has introduced a new scoring system. To keep track of scores during the tournament, everything runs through the Scorecapture app.

First, download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Then, register your profile so the system knows who you are. Each day’s play will be updated live, so you can follow scores in real time.

Players taking part this week must use the app to log their own scores. A special QR code will be available to scan, making it quick and easy to connect.
