World egg day spreads to SOS children’s village
Lowvelder staff hand out lunch packs to orphans on World egg day.

KAMAGUGU – In aid of World Egg day, some of the Lowvelder staff went to hand out lunch packs for orphans at the SOS children’s village on Friday.
International sponsorship secretary Ms Ludicia Nkosi and the staff of the village received that packages as all the children were still at school when Lowvelder arrived.
Lowvelder handed over 80 lunch packs which included an egg sandwich, donut, apple and a juice. Nkosi said the 79 children that were at the village had been brought to them by the department of social development after court orders had been issued.
“Many come from abused or neglected backgrounds or they were left as orphans”.
She said the village consisted of 10 houses with 10 house mothers and five house mothers who would relieve the others when they had to take leave.
Nkosi also stated that their biggest challenge facing them was finances. “We rely on donations and the goodwill of the community to help us and any form of help we will be grateful for .”
