Care Buddies’ braai day in White River boosts spirits

The Care Buddies hosted a fun braai day with delicious food and drinks.

The White River Care Buddies once again held their fun annual “Braai Day” with residents from the Rustig Retirement Village on Saturday.

In a large marquee tent, residents of the frail care and retirement facility were treated to a proudly South African-themed event with music, food, competitions and quizzes.

Two golf carts ferried residents from their homes to the venue, and music duo Sean and Alice kept toes tapping. Prego rolls, fruit juice, wine and ice cream were served at tables beautifully decorated with indigenous plants and the South African flag.

Certificates and prizes were also awarded to the winners of the musical quiz, bean bag toss, table netball and best costumes. The Care Buddies extended their heartfelt thanks to the community for their loyal support.
