New Veterinary clinic opens in White River
VET@Casterbridge invites community to tour their facilities

A new veterinary clinic has opened its doors at Casterbridge. Known as the VET @ Casterbridge, the animal hospital celebrates its opening this week. This family-orientated animal hospital is managed by two veterinary partners, Dr Graeme Harman with his wife, Dr Daniela Spath, and Dr Reynier Oelofsen with his wife Sandra Oelofsen.
Dr Oelofsen and his wife, presently in England, will only be joining the team in March this year.Harman and Spath hail from Mozambique, where they managed a private game reserve called Xonghile Game Park for two years. They are still actively involved in supporting the anti-rhino poaching unit of the game reserve as well as maintaining a community project in the village of Massingir.
“Working in the Casterbridge environment is a unique opportunity for the veterinary team,” says Dr Harman. “We will offer a professional service with specialised individual patient care. This is backed by state-of-the-art veterinary equipment.”
The animal hospital will – apart from treating pets – also run free puppy classes every Wednesday. These sessions will include the socialisation of puppies and education on the care of pets. Booking for this course is essential.
The community is encouraged to enter the animal hospital’s “Cutest pet” competition with great veterinary prizes. They are also invited to tour the clinic and see the facilities.
