This is your last chance to register to vote in the national election that will be held during April or May this year.

The state president will announce the specific date which will be a public holiday to assure everybody the opportunity to vote.

Where can you register to vote?

Vote at a registration station in the district you live in. All mine villages in the Steelpoort area can register to vote at the following register stations:

• Steelpoort Academy (next to the AGS church.)

• Burgersfort residents can register at Mogale Wa Bagale (next to the medical centre and Elephant Hill Park-homes.)

• People in Extension 10 will register there.

• Residents of Apiesdoring can register at the sport council in the village.

• Residents of Manoke can register at Mafumane Primary School in Manoke.

When can you register to vote?

On Saturday, February 8 and Sunday February 9 registration stations will be open country wide from 08:00 to 16:00.

Who can register to vote?

You have to be a South-African citizen with a valid South-African green-bar-coded identity document (ID), a smartcard ID or a temporary ID certificate and you have to register in person.

How can you confirm if and where you are registered?

You can send a SMS with your ID number to 32810 and receive a reply within seconds.
