Mbesuma Mabaso, Lekgotla Motswiane and Aubrey Malindisa were on the score sheet as the team in yellow trounced their counterparts in a match played in scorching heat. Malindisa scored in each half to hand the Tubatse veterans a 4-0 win against the Miners.

Tubatse continued to press forward as the half grew; a foul by Dwarsrivier defender Patrick Hlongwane on Motswiane just outside the penalty box gave Masters an opportunity to extend their goal tally. Malindisa stepped forward and pounced a ferocious right-foot shot that left Dwarsrivier goal minder Alfred Mashila in no-man’s-land and to give his team a 2-nil advantage before half-time.

In the second stanza, Tubatse continued were they left off, Motswiane dribbled past the Dwarsrivier defenders and their keeper before chipping the ball in an empty net to make the score 3-0.

Malindisa did it four moments later as he capitalised on a defensive error by Dwarsrivier centre back Steven Williams to seal the match. The final score was 4-0 in favour of the Tubatse Masters.

Dwarsrivier coach Themba Sibanyoni says his team will train hard for their upcoming matches while Sello Movundlela of Tubatse Masters praised his players for winning the tie.
