Get ready for action! Malane Rugby Weekend is here

Meet the team who will present the annual Malalane Rugby Weekend from Friday evening to Saturday.

Eugene du Toit, organiser and owner of PG Glass, Herman Potgieter, manager of BUCO Malalane, the main sponsor for the event and our champion coach Riaan Pienaar, who was responsible for a brilliant rugby season last year.

They hope this rugby weekend will be an example of the performance we can expect from the Olifante this year.

Pienaar explained to Corridor Gazette that this was a great warm-up opportunity for the teams.

It is always good fun for the whole family, with jumping castles, delicious food, biltong and the self-proclaimed “Gooi Mielies” team will also be there.

Don’t miss out – the beer will be ice cold.

As is tradition the Super 15 games will be shown on the big screen.

On Friday the first local match, the Leeulopers against Onderberg will kick off at 17:00 and then the mighty Malelane second team take on Komatipoort at 18:15. On Saturday kick-off will be at 09:00.
