SKHILA – A young man’s life was cut short when he was attacked and brutally murdered on Saturday night. According to the deceased mother, Ms Dinah Choma (49), her son, Seun Choma came home around 23:20 with a friend to fetch something.
“We heard his friend telling him to leave whatever he came to fetch and they left again. We don’t know where they went.”. The mother told the newspaper that they were awaken after 23:00 by someone telling them that Seun was lying in the street mere metres from their house.
She said he was covered in blood and his father carried him into their house where they discovered that he was badly hurt. He had sustained severe fractures to his head. He was then taken to Lydenburg Hospital by ambulance but died later that night.
Annah Choma, the sister of the deceased, described her brother as a good young man. “We are very heart-broken because we don’t know what happened and why it had to happen to him”. According to Annah the Lydenburg SAPS arrested two suspects from Lesotho on Sunday.
Another suspect is still on the run. According to the family, the two suspects were said to appear in the Lydenburg Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
