MBOMBELA – Motorists that regularly use the R40 to get to work were severely inconvenienced when the road was blocked both on Monday morning and yesterday by aggrieved taxi associations.
Government representatives held meetings with the taxi associations on Monday and again yesterday to resolve the issue with the two associations.
According to Mr Joseph Ngala, spokesperson for the Mbombela Local Municipality, the meetings are continuing today, but they have made good progress. “We are very optimistic as we managed to bring both parties to the table,” he said.
