A white Ford Ranger driver upset another motorist earlier this week when he scratched her car in front of Woolworths at the Crossing Centre and simply sped off.
Ms Sybilla Storm parked her silver Subaru Forester in front of the store and asked the guards to keep an eye on it. When she returned, she found a large scratch on the driver’s side of her car door.
“Two of the guards fortunately wrote down the registration number of the Ford,” Storm said. The driver, a white male, has been seen regularly by the guards. Storm spent two hours at the police station and on the phone with her insurance company. According to her, the car only has minor damages, but will definitely need panel beating. “I know accidents happen and the person was probably in a hurry, but he should take responsibilty for what he did,” she said. a Case of reckless driving has been opened by the SAPS.
