GRASKOP – The MEC for Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Ms Dumisile Nhlengethwa will, as part of the Departmental Women’s Month Programme join female officials within the department in a cleaning-and-road marking campaign tomorrow at Graskop starting at 10:00. She will also donate sanitary towels to the two local schools: Versalies and Mabulela Primary Schools.

These events are dedicated to honour the gallant and selfless heroines who marched to the Union Buildings against the imposition of pass laws. The Department has a month long programme upon which MEC Dumisile will embark on various activities such as revamping community centres for the disabled and conducting law enforcement operations. The men in the department will also do their part as they will be interacting with commuters at the taxi rank, advocating messages of Stop Women Abuse.
