Tubatse chrome festival a success

Business was booming, with lots of informal traders benefiting as they had to restock on several occasions.

STEELPOORT – The Chrome Club was the place to be last weekend (September 26 to 27) as locals celebrated the annual Tubatse Chrome Festival. There was great entertainment and various artists and DJs ensured the crowd was on the dance floor for most of the time.

There were beer tents, food stalls, and flea market stalls galore, with local business owners benefiting from the festival. Everybody was catered for and rugby fans were able to watch the Saturday showdown between the Springboks and the Wallabies at the club’s lapa.

Young children were also in attendance, with most wearing colourful clothes to welcome the summer. The festival was attended by people from all over – Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Piet Retief – and even the neighbouring countries.

Business was booming, with lots of informal traders benefiting as they had to restock on several occasions.

The performers were Bongi, David Fourie, Juba, Johan De Bruto, Johan Van Zyl, DJ Ferdie, Michelle Leigh, Ampie and many others.

Steelburger/Lydenburg News was there to witness the excitement.
