Six police officers guilty of assault with intent to cause grievious bodily harm were sentenced in the Lydenburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday

Six police officers guilty of assault with intent to cause grievious bodily harm were sentenced in the Lydenburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Four years after,Oupa Malibe was assaulted his offenders finally received their judgement.The magistrate, Mr Mark Botha of Middleburg, gave the final verdict.

Egypt Manzini and Lehlabenela Mahlaku, were each sentenced to three years in prison. Johannes Motau and Vuma Ngwambi were given two years’ imprisonment. Jurry Mashego and Vusimuzi Maphanga were sentenced to a R20 000 fine each.
