Reverend sheds light on dreams
“Dreams are very significant and God definitely speaks to man through them. We can under no circumstance ignore them,” he said.
MBOMBELA – Rev Ben Yeboah-Caurie recently paid a visit to Divine Power Touch Ministries in Mbombela where he introduced his latest book, The Essence of Dreams.
Although he is a teacher – born, raised and trained in Ghana – he was, after 17 years in the education sector, called to ministry where he currently serves as an inspirational speaker, author and radio pastor.
He was invited to South Africa to share his knowledge and introduce his book which answers most of the pertinent questions on dreams and also gives an easy-to-understand meaning to almost all the dreams recorded in the Bible.
“Dreams are very significant and God definitely speaks to man through them. We can under no circumstance ignore them,” he said. Although he believes that not every dream is from God, he still believes it is important to pay attention to each one to determine whether it is a message from God or not.
“There are certain ones without any meaning as people occupy themselves with a lot of things during the day that may occur in one’s dreams.” According to him those originate from the conscience. “God has many ways of ministering to us and in Genesis 18 He says He opens up to us in dreams.”
But how do you distinguish the difference between dreams with meaning and those without it in order to get an explanation? Yeboah-Caurie explains, “One of the most important things to make use of is the Bible to align your dreams with the Scriptures. Be careful who you tell them to as you are the best interpreter of your own dreams”. He also added that dreamers can seek people of God for advice and that time should be spent on each dream. “Think of what you went through and try to identify symbols that might be of significant value to help with the interpretation.”
According to Yeboa-Caurie symbols play an important role and people should also pay attention to colours and numbers
