Bikers come together for good cause

The annual Toy Run took place at Tubatse Chrome Club and a lot of interest was shown by bikers and families in the area

TUBATSE – Bikers from far and wide gathered last week Saturday in support of the less fortunate. The annual Toy Run took place at Tubatse Chrome Club and a lot of interest was shown by bikers and families in the area. Cunning Brad also performed at the event.

Joggie Prinsloo, the coordinator of the event, told Steelburger/Lydenburg News about the history of the event. “It started in 2009 and every year we almost manage to collect between 500 and 900 toys. We also receive food and other donations. This year Bidvest donated R9 000 worth of food. All bikers and non-bikers are welcome. These toy-run events take place all across the country. We covered the Pad-Pad valley and donated the items to places like the CMR offices at churches in our area, Tambora crèche and others in need of our assistance. The donations take place during the whole of December. We will visit Lelievlei in Lydenburg on December 13.”
