Kalahari skincare launches in Onderberg

Each product is carefully created using, pharmaceutical-grade plant oils, superior phyto-compounds and phyto-chemicals, as well as concentrated plant extracts.

KOMATIPOORT – The founder and director of Kalahari Lifestyle International, Ms Carina Franck, grew up on a farm in the Kalahari.

Living in tandem with nature, Carina was fascinated by many of the ancient secrets to health and well-being hidden in the African landscape.

After being at the forefront of the international beauty industry for more than a decade, Carina wanted to create a range of world-class skincare and body products that would capture not only the goodness of nature, but the unique, sensory experience of the Kalahari Desert.

After many years of dedicated research by a team of botanical experts and cosmetic scientists, the Kalahari product range was born – a collection of phyto-effective, plant-based products that restore, nourish and protect your skin. Each product is carefully created using, pharmaceutical-grade plant oils, superior phyto-compounds and phyto-chemicals, as well as concentrated plant extracts.

Ecolux Boutique Hotel and Spa in Komatipoort will officially launch this exceptional brand in the Onderberg on February 17, 2015. This will also be an opportunity to meet Franck, the driving force behind Kalahari, as she introduces it to the entire Lowveld.

This visit will expose locals to the recently launched Ecolux spa, nestled under the shade of jackal berry and old wild-fig trees. “Our spa is designed to offer relaxation with lots of fresh air and the sound of water in nature’s paradise. Our therapists pride themselves in their skills, giving individual attention to guests’ needs and delivering high-quality treatments every time. Working pressure points from head to toe will leave you with a feeling of wellness, revitalisation and relaxation,” explained Ecolux Boutique Hotel and Spa co-owner, Mr Johan Coetzee.

The spa is the only stockist of the Kalahari range in Komatipoort.

“The Kalahari Skin-Care Range promotes a healthy glowing skin by using botanical ingredients that are rich in antioxidants. It visibly smoothes fine lines, leaving the skin feeling smooth, radiant and ultra-nourished. This unique range is suitable for all skin types,” Coetzee said.

Ecolux spa is open seven days a week and offers a wide range of treatment packages.

“Facilities include a variety of massages, pedicures and manicures. This Komatipoort spa provides our guests with a special, memorable experience in a tranquil environment, away from the stress and hustle and bustle of daily life.”

Spoil yourself on February 17 by making an outing of the Ecolux spa experience by enjoying several treatments, and relaxing in the beautiful garden complemented by delicious refreshments prepared by Vonja’s Restaurant.
