DA: “Do not boast about superficial achievements”
“The ANC should admit that as an organisation it has failed to deliver services to the people of this municipality,”

EMALAHLENI – The Democratic Alliance (DA) called on all members of legislature and the executive not to boast about superficial achievements, but to face the facts that service delivery on all levels was not up to standard in this town.
This formed part of the debate of the premier’s 2015 State of the Province Address which was held on Tuesday in eMalahleni.
Mr Bosman Grobler DA MPL delivered his statement on behalf of the party and said people should not pretend that the ANC was doing a sterling job. “The ANC should admit that as an organisation it has failed to deliver services to the people of this municipality,” Grobler said.
He also said they would undoubtedly hear many stories of how the ANC had improved the lives of people during the last 20 years, but added that many truths would, however, not be told.
One of these was that of Klarinet School. According to Grobler it took 18 months longer to complete than originally planned and said no budget was allocated to the school in 2014. “It had to make debt to operate in 2014 and used the 2015 budget to pay the debt of 2014″. He expressed his dismay in this regard and said many truths such as the school operating without electricity, would never be heard. “We won’t hear that the school has not, up to today, received text books for this year and neither would we hear that the school has a library without books, a science lab without equipment and a computer lab without computers,” Grobler concluded.
