DRIEKOPPIES -The group, armed with pangas and butcher knives, dragged the men, all in their early 20s, out of their house and assaulted them on the street, before fleeing the scene.
One of the men was stabbed and another seriously hurt. The third man escaped with minor injuries.
According to the investigating officer, Const Given Nguyaza, Mr Nkosinathi Vincent Nthale died on the scene of the attack while Mr Sibusiso Mantshisntshi is fighting for his life in the hospital.
The reason for the attack is not known, but the police are investigating a case of murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The police are urging the community to come forward with any information.

Since the attack, Corridor Gazette has tried daily to obtain more information and enquire about the status of the victims, or whether any of the suspects had been caught. However, by the time of going to press, it had been impossible to speak to Nguyaza. No one else at the SAPS office seemed to know anything about the case.
