Do you know this old building?
Back in the day, before the age of the Internet, it was frequented by hundreds of citizens every week.
The Nelspruit Library was built and inaugurated in 1968. Back in the day it was frequented by hundreds of citizens every week. Today, with the easy access to information at hand, the library does not receive as many visitors. University students and a few learners still make use of the facility, situated in Samora Machel Drive, to gain access to prescribed textbooks. However, the outdated system and lack of funds have contributed to a decrease in patrons. The library still hosts monthly programmes to encourage people to borrow books, since it holds heaps of information about Mpumalanga. That aside, not much has changed regarding its infrastructure, except for the lush vegetation growing around it now.
