An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from Pick ‘n Pay yesterday, after two armed men held the store manager and a security guard at gunpoint in the manager’s office. Another man stood guard outside.
The two victims were forced to the ground, while the robbers demanded the keys to the safe.
According to a press release from SAPS, the suspects allegedly managed to unlock the safe, before fleeing the scene with cash.
The manager followed the suspects and noted down that their getaway car was a white Volkwager Golf 5 with registration number HDY257GP.
No arrests have been made.
Mpumalanga SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lt. Gnl. Mark Magadlela asked the public to lend them a hand in finding the culprits.
