MOROKE – Newly appointed Tubatse cluster commander Maj Gen Masipha Joseph Maepa recently visited communities in the Mecklenburg policing area urging them to refrain from criminal activities.

Maepa was partnered by the station commander of the Mecklenburg SAPS, Col Matsimele Chuene, along with the station’s social-crime prevention team and the community policing forum.

Maepa said the communities must work hand in hand with the established community structures to combat criminal activities. He also highlighted that the locals must love their community as much as they love themselves.

Community members were also informed of the xenophobic attacks and the illegal protests happening all over Tubatse.

Other stakeholders who graced the event included representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, Dilokong Asa Metals, Tubatse Moral Regeneration as well as the United Nations High Commission of Refugees.
