Robbery suspects wanted for blanket theft
Two men are wanted by police for raping two women and stealing a blanket in Block A during a house robbery this past Friday.
BLOCK A – According to the victims they were woken up by the sound of the door opening.
Shortly afterwards two unidentified men entered their room, tied them up with shoe laces and started to undress them.
According to the older woman, one of the suspects raped her, while his accomplice sexually assaulted her younger sister.
The suspects then took a blanket and fled the scene on foot.
Police are investigating the case and the victims are undergoing treatment and counselling.
Tonga Police Station Com Brig Velsiwe Mdaka appeals to the community to assist with information that will lead to the arrest of these men by contacting Capt Simon Mkhatshwa on 079-501-5053.
Meanwhile the Tonga police call on the people to come forward with information regarding previous rape and robbery cases.
The spokesman, Lt Mzwandile Nyambi said, “It is only with the assistance of the community and by working together that we can win the fight against crime.”
