Your vote is paramount

"The ANC is in fightback mode. If they lose, they have nothing. They will fight to death, literally."

MBOMBELA – With the by-elections in Ward 17 taking place Wednesday August 19, the federal chairman of the DA, MPL Athol Trollip, addressed residents of Mbombela to share the party’s vision for the feature of South Africa under the DA on Friday.
Although Trollip focused more on the party’s growth since 1994 and what they would like to achieve, he also mentioned two areas where the DA needed to improve. This according to Trollip is job creation and tourism.
He said he would like to see South Africa as a caring country, a country than listens, a country with ample opportunities where the DA creates an environment where business can flourish.
He added that tourism should be promoted even more, especially in Mpumalanga, and townships done away with in favour of suburbs.
Trollip said he would like to see a well-run country, which he believes can become a reality should the DA become the ruling party.
He however acknowledged that should this happen, the ANC will not go down without a fight.
The ANC is in fightback mode. If they lose, they have nothing. They will fight to death, literally,” Trollip said, but none the less added that it remained the responsibility of the
DA to give society a government that cares.
He reprimanded non-voters and said those who do not vote don’t take ownership of their lives.
Ms Sonja Boshoff, Mbombela political head of the DA, and Trollip, urged the residents of Ward 17 to cast their votes tomorrow.
“South Africa is in trouble and we are facing a downward spiral. We need each and every citizen to take hands with the DA to take not only the party, but also South Africa forward,” Boshoff concluded.
