Production has a message that speaks to everyone
The production was really breathtaking and it demonstrated everyday issues we faced. It is definitely a production that I will highly recommend to everyone
STEELPOORT – Last Friday night the AFM Church was packed with guests from all ages eagerly awaiting to see the Blood Speaks production. The production was hosted by Crearé Training Centre which also involved local children in the production to strengthen the sense of community.
Crearé is a theocentric arts, skills and ministry-training centre based in Bloemfontein. It was established in 1994 and until today continues to train and reach not only South Africans, but also people in 30 other countries. Their vision is to train and equip people of all ages in the creative and performing arts as well as word, worship, prophetic, church planting and missions.
Crearé also visited Burgersfort on August 29 and will depart on September 9 to host different workshops for residents at the NG Kerk, which wanted to learn new skills or expand their talents.
“The production was really breathtaking and it demonstrated everyday issues we faced. It is definitely a production that I will highly recommend to everyone” said Mariska Jonker, a resident of Burgersfort.
Four storylines were portrayed during the performance including the crucifixion of Jesus, family conflict between a mother, father, rebellious son, daughter and grandmother, New Nations of Peace as well as Armenian Genocide.
During the break, Wynand Lusse donated his hair to charity. “We made ponytails on his head, charging R10 a ponytail to be cut off. The hair will be donated to CANSA and the money raised will be donated towards the AFM youth group,” concluded Past Tienie van Wyngaard.
