Manhunt on for sexual predator

"Anyone with information can contact, Capt Presley Mkhatshwa on 079-501-5053 to help with the arrest of this suspect. To fight crime it begins with you," Mdaka said.

MALALANE – A manhunt for a suspect responsible for the rape of a three-year-old child has been launched by the Tonga police.

This comes after the mother of the minor reported the matter to the station after discovering her child had been raped on October 5 when she had been bathing her.

She rushed her to the local clinic and it was confirmed by a doctor that the child had been raped.

The matter was reported to the police and a case of sexual assault was opened.

The mother of the victim is undergoing counselling and the victim is being treated.

Tonga station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka, is appealing to the community to keep a close eye on their children at all times to prevent such incidents from happening.

“Anyone with information can contact, Capt Presley Mkhatshwa on 079-501-5053 to help with the arrest of this suspect. To fight crime it begins with you,” Mdaka said.
