Today at 11:30 one of the managers of Shongwe Tavern in Emjindini Trust lost her life when she was shot in the head.
According to Hi-Tech security officer Fanus Jansen van Rensburg, he was dispatched to the tavern by the control room at about 11:40 and found the body lying on the ground at the back of the tavern.
Eyewitnesses at the scene alleged that the victim’s boyfriend had sent somebody to kill her. They say four men arrived at the tavern in a red Ford Laser and that one of them apparently shot her.
Two shots were heard but only one gunshot wound could be seen on the body and only one cartridge was found.
