Piano maestro wows guest with his brilliant rendition at De Ark
The well-known South African pianist and entertainer brought his own piano to Lydenburg and spoilt the audience by extending his show with an extra half an hour.
LYDENBURG – Music lovers enjoyed an amazing show when Rocco de Villiers performed at De Ark Guesthouse on Sunday.
The well-known South African pianist and entertainer brought his own piano to Lydenburg and spoilt the audience by extending his show with an extra half an hour. The guests were served wine and scrumptious canapés while enjoying the music.
De Villiers wears many hats. Apart from establishing himself as a brilliant showman, he has also made his mark as musical director, producer and businessman.
He has released several CDs and published a number of books, all of which were available at the show for guests to browse through and buy.
According to Francis le Roux, owner of De Ark, she was happy with the turnout. “The guests were great and that is why Rocco performed a bit longer,” she said.“His performance was brilliant and very entertaining. We really enjoyed it,” she added.
