BURGERSFORT – A new station commander has been appointed at the local police station and she is on a mission to declare the area crime-free.
Lt Col Mmamoleka Margaret Kgwedi was transferred from the Seshego police department. She originally hails from Alverton and says she is very happy to come back to her roots. She is now here to stay.
“My aim for our station is to bring protection services to the communities. I realise that crime is rife in Burgersfort, but working together, the police force and community can rid our town of lawlessness. We are dedicated to work day and night to stop criminals from committing offences,” said Kgwedi.
She also urged communities to protect themselves in order to assist the police in their duty, especially now with the festive season approaching.
