Marloth and SAPS unite against crime

We made one arrest, which was a possession of dagga arrest

MARLOTH PARK – On Monday strides towards ensuring safety in this community were made during a special operation held by the Komatipoort SAPS in conjunction with various stakeholders.

According to the spokesman for the police, Const Natacia Mbuyane, the operation which was conducted by various law-enforcement agencies, produced many successes.

“We made one arrest, which was a possession of dagga arrest. The suspect was due to appear in court soon. There were also eight traffic-offence successes, and five arrests of illegal immigrants,” said Mbuyane.

She furthermore appreciated the commitment shown by Marloth Park residents in the fight against crime.

She said, “The Komatipoort SAPS would like to extend their appreciation to the community policing forum (CPF) members who used their own transportation on this operation conducting patrols and stop and searches.”

Mbuyane concluded by saying this was something which they intended to do more frequently.
