Five suspects arrested for possession of stolen chrome

The estimated value for the chrome is almost R40 000

LYDENBURG – Local police have arrested five suspects for being in the possession of stolen chrome. Two were arrested on Sunday, January 3, 2016 and the other three on Monday, December 28, 2015. This followed after the three were caught at the local railway station loading chrome. The two were arrested after the police received a tip-off and on their arrival they found 166 bags with chrome.

The estimated value for the chrome is almost R40 000. They are being charged with the possession of chrome and the suspects are from Majenje informal settlement in Extension 9.
