Players bring the heat at Mayoral Cup

Mbokodo Wanderers trampled their opponents Shulzendal XI Experience, trashing them 3-0

As part of the 2015 Nkomazi Mayoral Sports Development Cup various soccer games continued at various soccer fields in the subregion.

The action started at Schoemansdal Stadium with Driekoppies Barcelona playing host to Mawewe France in the u/13 encounters.

Driekoppies Barcelona picked up an much-needed 2-0 win in order to advance to the next round.

Mawewe Chiefs followed with a fixture against Steenbok Young Buffaloes which were sent home licking their wounds after they were denied a chance to even put their name on the scoring board. They suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Shuzendal Eagles had their wings clipped when they took on Block A Fighters, who kept their 2-0 momentum going by securing a win in a similar manner.

In other u/13 football action played at the Langeloop Stadium, Middelplaas Mighty Blizzard were taught a football lesson by Ngwenyeni Academy. After

90 minutes of failing to find their strength, they succumbed to a mighty 3-0 defeat. Jeepes Reef Dynamos and Block C Young Aces put on a single-goal thrilling encounter, which ended in favour of Block C Young Aces.

Matsamo Mighty Vultures, were not so strong when they took on Maqhekeza Thula’uzobona.

Their opponents walked away with an impressive 2-0 win.

Block A Juventus achieved the same score against Matsamo Superstrikers.

In Sunday’s encounters Mananga Brazil outclassed Block C Junior Bucs, defeating them 3-0 at the KaMaqekeza Stadium.

Jeepes Reef Cobra followed the tone set by Mananga Brazil and slaughtered Mawewe Swallows achieving the same score.

After a disappointing 90 minutes which ended in a goalless draw between Mbokodo Wanderers and Langeloop Happy Boys. Wanderers closed the day as the team with the reason to simile after a 5-4 penalty victory.

Sambo Block B United defeated their local rivals Block B Maduma Young Stars 1-0.
