Three die in head-on collision

MBOMBELA – A head-on collision between a Light Delivery Vehicle (LDV) and a sedan between Waterval Onder and Mbombela resaulted in the death of three people.

The incident occurred around 08:00 this morning. According to the department of community safety, security and liaison, one of the drivers lost control of the vehicle and veered into the oncoming traffic before the collision.

Eight people sustained injuries and were rushed to Waterval Boven Hospital . Two of the three people who died were occupants of the sedan while one person in the LDV died.
The police are investigating and Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Mr Vusi Shongwe, has urged drivers to drive with heightened awareness in order to avoid crashes.
