Learners of Barberton High School and Gateway Christian School welcomed the cyclists who took part in the third day of the Mpumalanga Tour. Not only did it mean they had a break from the normal school routine, they also had a chance to be part of something not seen in Barberton every day.

Learners of Gateway manned a water point mere metres from where the cyclists entered town via the Sheba Road. On the road itself BHS pupils lined up in their hundreds to cheer the riders on.
