Police campaign brings joy to Tubatse learners
The motivation for these campaigns is to take children away from crime and by doing this, we could build Tubatse cluster into a crime-free cluster
BURGERSFORT – The police held another back-to-school campaign at Masupe High School in Ga Phasha on January 22. Lt Col Jonathan Thiba, Burgersfort cluster social crime coordinator, supervised the event.
Const Victoria Maluleka, police spokesman and social crime coordinator, was directing the programme. “Const Lesetja Mphahlele of Sekhukhune police motivated the learners during his speech. He spoke about the disadvantages of substance abuse, the use of dangerous weapons, illegal gambling, late coming to school and the advantages of being disciplined. The motivation for these campaigns is to take children away from crime and by doing this, we could build Tubatse cluster into a crime-free cluster,” she said.
Lt Col Mmamoleka Margaret Kgwedi and Lt Col Jonathan Thiba handed over six school uniforms to needy learners.
