Police identify murdered men as Swaziland nationals

When police officers arrived at the scene, they found that both bodies had sustained stab wounds to the chest

TONGA – The relatives of two men who were found dead near the Nkomazi River in Masibekela last Thursday have been found.
This was announced on Monday morning by the spokesman for local police,  Lt Mzwandile Nyambi. The deceased have been identified as Mr Ncamiso Vilakati (30) and Mr Duma Bulunga (28), both Swaziland nationals. They were discovered by community members who then alerted the police.
According to Nyambi, when police officers arrived at the scene, they found that both bodies had sustained stab wounds to the chest.
Blood stains were also spotted around the bush at the scene. Police suspect that the victims were travelling in a vehicle with the registration number SSD 003 AC, which is missing. The suspects and the motive are still unknown to the police.
Meanwhile the spokesman for Nkomazi Local Municipality, Mr Cyril Ripinga said such acts of violence needed to come to an end.
He said, “We noted with sadness once more this barbaric act of criminals in Masibekela. This has to stop.”
Police are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects to contact Const Kenny Makhubela on 082-544-8544.
