MBOMBELA – It’s a smooth and well-aged thrill to see a bunch of wine enthusiasts packed in one hall for a common reason, to taste their favourite wines.
Wine lovers tasted different kinds on Friday at Emnotweni during the annual FNB Mpumalanga Wine Show. The show ran from Thursday to Friday.
The enthusiasts sniffed and sipped their favourite wines, while some enjoyed the snacks paired with the various cultivars on offer.
The event offered a one-stop wine shop for connoisseurs to add new stock to their home collections.
Johan van Niekerk said he had the opportunity to taste most of the wines exhibited and it was very difficult for one to compare one against the others to decide which is the best.
“The thing is you have quite a line-up of exhibitors displaying different offers. All of the wines are good in their own uniqueness,” he said.
More than 100 wines were available to taste and purchase. The exhibitors included Rustenburg Wines, Springfield, Graham Beck Wines, Kanonkop, Oneiric, Avondale and Laibach.
