LYDENBURG – Standard Bank is closed on account of a bomb threat received about an hour ago.
According to a source at the scene, one of the employees received a mysterious telephone call informing her that there is apparently a bomb somewhere in the building.
Security steps were immediately taken and the building evacuated. Sources at the scene said that police are waiting for the bomb squad from Whiteriver to further investigate the matter.
