
They enjoyed face painting, a treasure hunt, a tea garden, puppet shows, horse riding, wagon trips and much more. Kids from eight schools attended.
Founder of the initiative, Eulalia Jordaan, said it started out as a small fair 20 years ago and grew over the years.
“The aim is for the children to spend a lovely day with us in nature. Many parents come and help and it’s lots of fun for everyone. It’s a way to give back to the community as well,” Jordaan said.
There is a minimal entrance fee for each child to cover the costs. When they leave, they take home a bag of goodies.
