Police find cache of dagga worth R150 000

A tip-off led police to a large cache of dagga stored in a house in Magudu Trust near the Mozambique and Swaziland borders.

MAGUDU – Police found bags full of dagga weighing about 30kg at a house in Magudu Trust near the Mozambique and Swaziland borders yesterday morning.

Const. Sipho Ntandane of the K9 Unit in Hectorspruit received a tip-off that a lot of dagga was being stored in a house in Magudu Trust and rushed to follow it up.

He found the dagga valued at R150 000 and arrested a 38-year-old man for dealing in dagga.

The suspect appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court in Tonga on Tuesday morning.
