KOMATIPOORT – According to Mr Joseph Mabuza, spokesman for community safety, security and liaison, a truck driver lost control of his vehicle and ploughed into three vehicles on Friday night. The third one that was crashed into a taxi from Mozambique, and was forced into the nearby banana plantation. All three occupants were killed.
A case of culpable homicide was opened at the Komatipoort Police Station, and is currently under investigation. No arrests have been made as yet.
This accident follows several others which took the lives of sixteen people in Nkomazi last week.
