This morning, they started blocking off roads along the school with burning tyres, rocks and other debris.

Police monitored the situation, which escalated when the community chased off a local councillor.

The violence escalated and a 16-year-old girl from a local high school sustained an injury on her leg.

Keep an eye on next Thursday’s Corridor Gazette, where we’ll be reporting on any further community action and whether the community’s concerns were addressed.
